In the Gesundheitsamt, the threads of healthcare converge. It is responsible for cantonal hospital planning and ensures the financing of the canton's share of hospital costs. The Kantonsärztlicher Dienst, as part of the Gesundheitsamt, is also responsible for the administrative law supervision of the healthcare system in addition to combating communicable diseases. This includes the area of licensing medical personnel, specialists, and healthcare institutions, as well as the subsequent supervision and quality assurance.

What awaits you

• Assessment of legal questions in connection with professional and operational licenses and advising the Cantonal Physician as well as the Licensing Department
• Verification of compliance with the continuing education obligation of the medical professions in cooperation with the Cantonal Physician
• Conducting administrative proceedings in the event of non-fulfillment of licensing requirements or conditions, as well as the continuing education obligation, and issuing corresponding decrees. This also includes the processing of any appeal proceedings
• Examination of the requirements for the admission of service providers for billing at the expense of the mandatory health insurance (OKP)
• Implementation of cantonal specifications regarding the maximum numbers for doctors in the outpatient sector
• Participation in legislative projects in the healthcare sector
• In addition to responsibility in the licensing system, also taking on further legal tasks from other specialist departments of the Gesundheitsamt

What you bring with you

• Degree in law
• Court or administrative practice desirable
• Ideally professional experience in health law or the willingness to familiarize yourself with new legal areas
• Strong negotiation skills and editorial proficiency
• Interest in a wide range of tasks as well as the ability to work in interdisciplinary teams and take on legal responsibility
• Efficient and independent way of working
• Strength in implementation and execution
