Your tasks * You research and write English contributions for our magazine: news, guides, backgrounds, reviews, and interviews -- from the topic to the implementation * You translate a wide spectrum of texts from German into English -- editorial articles, media releases, advertising campaigns -- and cover everything from transcreation to post-editing * You proofread the contributions and translations of your colleagues and ensure that the Digitec and Galaxus style is also correct in English * You work closely with the graphics and product teams so that your content reaches its audience * You contribute your ideas, try new things, and specialize over time in subject areas that interest you Your skills * Your first language is English and you have very good German skills (at least level C1) * You have a sense for good stories, a penchant for precise language, and see your focus in journalism * You have training and/or professional experience in translation or journalism -- ideally with touchpoints in both * You have journalistic experience, know different forms of presentation and implement them confidently, or are eager to develop editorially * You know where to find news on your subject areas and can distinguish good from bad sources * Your texts have style and character, you have high quality standards and are perhaps even a bit nerdy * You are open to new technologies and AI-supported workflows.
