Official Veterinarian at 80% (M/F) including 10% on fixed-term contract until 31 December 2029

Mission: You are in charge of official tasks primarily related to the fight against epizootics and the ante mortem inspection of animals and meat, including: • Official inspections in slaughterhouses, notably ante mortem inspections and meat inspection. • Fight against epizootics, notably in the event of highly contagious epizootics. • Preparation and participation in the management of events and crises related to epizootics. • Participation in other tasks, notably related to animal health and animal protection. Profile: You hold a recognized degree in veterinary medicine and have completed the qualifying training for official veterinarians (a person not yet possessing this training must commit to following it upon engagement). You have 2 to 4 years of professional experience, notably in veterinary practice, in the public veterinary service or in an equivalent field. Experience in the inspection of animals and meat is an asset. You demonstrate high motivation and professional awareness and possess good communication and organizational skills. You are comfortable handling administrative tasks and have an interest in regulatory and legal issues. You demonstrate autonomy, flexibility, and a good ability to work in demanding situations. A driver's license as well as possession of a private vehicle are strongly desired.
