The contribution you can make

• Elaborate, analyze and transmit a situational picture on the entire spectrum of employment of the Army Preventive Protection Service (SPPE)
• Interpret, compare, consolidate and evaluate data, identify gaps in the situational picture and derive targeted measures to fill them
• Analyze threats such as espionage, sabotage and other illicit acts, developing preventive protection concepts and measures
• Elaborate intelligence products and decision-making bases for the operational level and represent the military security situation in specialized commissions
• Continuously observe, evaluate and prepare the army's internal security situation in a targeted manner for target groups

What distinguishes you

• Swiss army officer (minimum rank lieutenant), intelligence officer specialization training
• Diploma from a university or specialized college (preferably in political science, criminology, law or psychology) or several years of professional experience relevant to the function in intelligence service / state protection or in the police field
• Operational level experience and skills (staff work) desirable
• Strong analytical, methodological and editorial skills as well as communication appropriate to the hierarchical level
• Good oral and written knowledge of a second official language as well as good knowledge of English

The Army Preventive Protection Service (SPPE) represents the army's first line of defense. It monitors and evaluates the military security situation and adopts preventive measures to protect the army from espionage, sabotage and other illicit acts.

The Operations Command (Cdo Op) is responsible for all operations and all military deployments of the Swiss Army. It includes, among others, the Air Force, the Land Forces, the four territorial divisions, the SWISSINT competence center, the special forces command and the military police. Approximately 40 percent of the nearly 2500 employees are civilian employees: from engineers to aircraft mechanics to analysts.

The Swiss Army employs over 9000 employees within the framework of four military professions and about 200 civilian professions, in 110 locations throughout the national territory. Furthermore, it provides for new recruits, training apprentices in over 30 professions.
