Assistant to Group General Counsel/Paralegal (40-60%)

Introduction

Do you want to contribute your organizational and governance knowledge in a versatile part-time role with an international focus? At Belimo, you will support the Group General Counsel and the Legal Team with corporate governance topics of the Belimo Group while simultaneously taking on your own tasks independently.

If you enjoy dealing with corporate housekeeping and governance-relevant issues independently and developing clear, actionable solutions from them, a responsible role with versatile tasks and international cooperation awaits you.

Main Responsibilities

• You support the Group General Counsel in the further development of Corporate Governance, prepare legal information as well as decision-making bases, and implement the necessary measures independently according to the specifications of the Group General Counsel.
• You ensure that important corporate law documents, entries, and information are maintained completely, currently, and in a structured manner.
• You work together with international group companies, internal specialist departments, external lawyers, notaries, and authorities and coordinate the relevant next steps.
• You maintain the Group Chart as well as central overviews of legal topics, especially regarding disputes and external legal advice.
• You coordinate commercial register filings, notarizations, certifications, and legalizations for the Swiss group companies.
• You independently further develop the SharePoint-based legal intranet presence and coordinate the associated internal communication.
• You support the Group General Counsel and the Legal Team with selected organizational topics (external services, invoices, expenses, legal events, appointments, etc.).

Required Expertise

• You possess one of the following qualifications: a commercial apprenticeship with a relevant legal background and/or paralegal training, a Bachelor of Law, or a comparable qualification.
• You have already worked in a similar role, for example in a notary's office, a legal department, as a Corporate Secretary, or in a firm oriented towards business law.
• You bring a good understanding of corporate governance and corporate law documents and can process them independently, carefully, and reliably.
• You work in a structured manner, think ahead, and maintain an overview even with several parallel topics.
• You naturally handle confidential information with discretion and convince through precision, reliability, and a high standard of quality.
• You have very good German skills in speaking and writing and also communicate confidently in English, so that you can communicate without problems in international exchange with group companies and external contact persons.
• You enjoy working independently, actively seek exchange when necessary, and bring different stakeholders together efficiently.
• You appreciate a role in which you can take on responsibility, understand legal topics, and make a concrete contribution to the functioning of a global Corporate Governance.
