What awaits you

• You ensure the reliable operation and management of our specialist applications and supporting software tools (primarily Python as well as in Access & Excel as well as Access-VBA & Excel-VBA).
• You work with our systems and carry out data imports and exports, data processing, calculations, as well as functional and technical controls. Additionally, you perform the technical monthly closing.
• You analyze errors and irregularities in the software tools (primarily Python as well as Access/Excel as well as Access/Excel-VBA), identify causes, make configuration adjustments, and work closely with the developer in their rectification.
• You analyze functional requirements and develop sustainable solutions in the software tools in cooperation with the relevant stakeholders.
• You support the team in the digitalization and optimization of processes as well as in the targeted use of modern technologies and AI-based solutions.
• You create ad-hoc evaluations and develop smaller automations and tools, for example in Access with VBA, Access without VBA, Excel with VBA, Excel without VBA or with Python.
• You work actively in an interdisciplinary development environment on the further development of our core system.
• You take on tasks in support and have the opportunity to prospectively take on a deputy role for the responsible developer.

What you bring with you

• Completed training or further education in computer science, business informatics, or a commercial basic training with several years of experience in an IT-related environment.
• Very good knowledge of Python as well as knowledge in Access with VBA, Access without VBA, Excel with VBA, Excel without VBA
• Knowledge in creating SQL queries (e.g., SQL Editor in Access)
• Several years of professional experience in the life insurance environment or in occupational pension schemes, or in a comparable insurance area.
• Interest and willingness to study deeply into contract structures, insurance products, as well as technical components of life insurance.
• Joy in working in an interdisciplinary team as well as interest in functional software development.
• Strong analytical thinking skills as well as the ability to structure complex matters and convey them comprehensibly.
• Independent, reliable, and solution-oriented way of working with high personal responsibility.
