Head of Facility Management

The Haus der Wirtschaft in Pratteln is a modern and representative meeting place for business, politics and society with high standards for quality, infrastructure and service.

For our Facility Management, we are looking for a technically skilled, communicative and service-oriented leader with a strong hands-on mentality. In this versatile role, you will combine the leadership of a small team and the management of external partners with active participation in operational building operations. In doing so, you will ensure smooth operations and first-class service for our customers, guests and employees through technical skill, organizational talent and a high level of quality awareness.

Your tasks

• Functional, personnel and organizational leadership of a team of three employees as well as management of an external outsourcing partner
• Ensuring the smooth operation of all buildings, facilities and infrastructures with a proportion of active, operational participation (around 50 %)
• Planning, coordination and active participation in cleaning, maintenance work as well as in reconfigurations and structural changes and the technical provision of the conference and event center
• Responsibility for maintenance, upkeep and preservation of value of the technical facilities as well as the furniture
• Responsibility for building automation, access control, security and fire protection systems as well as HVACSE systems
• Ensuring first-class facility management service in the representative and demanding environment of the Haus der Wirtschaft
• Obtaining quotes, awarding and controlling services of external partners and suppliers as well as responsibility for inventory management, budgeting, cost control and economic management of facility management
• Responsibility for the continuous optimization and digitalization of operating processes including the use of modern technologies, smart building solutions and AI applications

Your profile

• Completed basic technical training, ideally as Fachmann Betriebsunterhalt EFZ, alternatively as an electrical installer, automation technician, building technician, HVAC specialist or comparable
• Further training preferably at a caretaker school (e.g. WBZ Lenzburg), alternatively in facility management, building management or maintenance management
• Several years of professional and leadership experience in facility management, building operations or technical maintenance
• Sound knowledge in the areas of building automation, building technology, HVACSE, security and fire protection
• Entrepreneurial thinking as well as high service and customer orientation
• Strong communication skills, confident appearance and enjoyment in dealing with demanding customers, guests and partners
• Strong hands-on mentality, technical skill and enjoyment in actively tackling operations yourself alongside leadership responsibility
• High affinity for digitalization, process optimization, building automation as well as the use of modern technologies and AI solutions
• Independent, structured and solution-oriented way of working
