• Design and control of the business planning and coordination of the Army Staff, thereby creating the basis for proactive and effective leadership
• Ensure the timely implementation of orders and results with rolling planning, the leadership calendar, and the defined focuses and priorities
• Guarantee the planning and coordination of reports or as well as leadership bodies and their professional preparation and follow-up, as well as converting decisions into concrete measures and consistently monitoring their implementation
• Target-audience-oriented preparation of demanding business cases, statements, and decision-making bases and advising internal partners on the substantive and formal design of their contributions
• Ensuring the quality of the products and delivery results for the leadership bodies of the Army Staff and the Defense Group, as well as the timely availability of relevant information
• Actively further develop leadership instruments and processes, contribute own ideas, lead working groups and projects, and convey knowledge within the framework of training

What makes you unique

• Higher vocational education with 2 to 3 years of function-relevant experience or vocational qualification with 4 to 7 years of function-relevant experience
• Proven good knowledge of military processes and the organization and processes of the Federal Administration
• Good conceptual and editorial skills as well as analytical and systematic thinking abilities
• Rapid comprehension of complex relationships, analytical mindset and the ability to bring demanding facts to the point clearly in writing and orally
• Independent, structured and result-oriented way of working, good sense of priorities and the ability to maintain an overview even with parallel business processes
• Strong communication skills with various stakeholders and the ability to demand products with emphasis

The Army Staff (A Stab) supports the Chief of the Army in the leadership of the Defense Department area and is responsible for the overall military planning and development of the Swiss Army. Here, in accordance with political requirements, the strategic foundations, the armed forces development and the army and armament planning are developed, and tasks in the international security context are performed. The leadership, control and coordination of all cross-cutting areas (personnel, finance, real estate) also fall within the responsibility of the Army Staff.

The Swiss Army employs over 9'000 employees in four military and around 200 civilian professions -- and this at 110 locations throughout Switzerland. Provision is also made for young talent: The Swiss Army trains apprentices in over 30 professions.
