Special Education Teacher (in training) or Teacher (with completed basic year), 30 %

At our location in the Schulhaus Gubel in Zürich Oerlikon, we are looking for a Special Education Teacher (in training) or a Teacher (with a completed basic year) for a middle school class with 6 students, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning, from 15.09.26 to 18.12.26 (with the possibility of extension).

Tasks ##

• Class management of a middle school class together with the class team
• Creating the promotion planning in cooperation with the position partner and the class team
• Individual support of the children according to promotion goals and Lehrplan 21
• Creating reports and learning reports in case of extension of the substitute position
• Cooperation with parents or legal guardians, mainstream school, external specialist centers and other specialists

Profile ##

• EDK-recognized special education training (also during studies) or teacher in training (completed basic year)
• Practical experience in the special school sector or willingness to familiarize yourself with the area of responsibility
• Joy in supporting and accompanying children with cognitive impairment
• Ability to work in a team, resilience, flexibility, creativity and a good dose of humor
• Interest and willingness for interdisciplinary cooperation

Die Heilpädagogische Schule der Stadt Zürich is a day special school for 4 to 15-year-old children with a cognitive and/or multiple impairment. As part of the Dienstabteilung Sonderpädagogik, we offer students who are educated in separate classes in various school buildings in the Stadt Zürich a supportive environment and focus the priorities of interdisciplinary support on their strengths.

Our teams at the various locations in the Stadt Zürich consist of school special education teachers, social pedagogues, childcare specialists, apprentices and assistants.
