Job Description ## Following a political and strategic desire to strengthen the fight against economic and organized crime, the Financial Brigade of the Vaud Police, in collaboration with the Public Prosecutor's Office, is setting up a criminal asset seizure group. This group's mission will be to intensify the asset confiscation of values acquired fraudulently by conducting its own investigations and supporting other brigades of the Vaud Police and the Prosecutors of the Public Prosecutor's Office (MP). In your capacity as a specialized judicial police officer (APJS) in law/criminal procedure, you will participate in investigations and operations to fight economic crime, write reports, and participate in hearings. You will provide administrative and legal support to investigators and magistrates, propose and implement solutions for the seizure and confiscation of criminal assets. You will participate in the training of investigators and magistrates in your field of competence. Responsibilities ## • Analyze investigation information and present it in a relevant form for judicial purposes. • Provide administrative and legal support to investigators and magistrates in the fight against economic crime and the seizure of criminal assets. • In its capacity as a delegated APJS, write and sign reports attached to the judicial file, conduct hearings, participate in police operations and letters rogatory. • Detect, develop, and propose concepts for developing new investigation methods against economic crime and the seizure of criminal assets. • Provide legal support to police officers and collaborate closely with the MP in the context of complex cases. • Contribute to close relationships and permanent liaison with the Ecole des Sciences Criminelles and the Faculty of Law of UNIL, EPFL, HEIG-VD and/or other reference schools/institutions in the legal and economic field. • Contribute to legal monitoring regarding financial law, banking law, tax law, economic criminal law, and the economic analysis of law. • Participate, in collaboration with the management of the financial brigade and the MP, in the setting up of a specialized group for the seizure of criminal assets and work actively within it once established. • Provide training related to its specialization to the actors in the criminal chain. • Perform on-call duties during the week, weekends, and public holidays. • Equipped with personal security equipment, except firearms. You will also find additional information on the activities of the Vaud Cantonal Police at: www.policier.ch Qualifications ## • Master's level training in the field of criminal law and/or criminal procedure. • CAS, DAS, MAS useful to the function (criminal prosecution, judicial administration) desired. • Diploma in economic crime or an equivalent title desired. • Experience in the legal, criminal, and/or criminal procedure field. • Good knowledge of economic, financial, and commercial matters. • Excellent writing skills and good knowledge of computer programs. • Sense of responsibility and public service ethics, capacity for adaptation and flexibility. • Spirit of mutual aid and collaboration. • Analytical and synthesis skills. • Resistance to stress and discretion. • Driver's license (category B), with the obligation to make one's private vehicle available to the service. • Residential radius: maximum 45 minutes from the workplace. • Swiss or in the process of naturalization.
