Nurse in charge of the Unité de Prévention et Contrôle de l’Infection (UPCI) at 80-100 %

The Unité de Prévention et Contrôle de l’Infection (UPCI) contributes to the prevention of infectious risk and the safety of patient·e·s and professional·le·s within the RHNe. It notably ensures missions of surveillance, advice, expertise and training and accompanies teams in the implementation of good practices regarding infection prevention and control.

Your missions :

• Ensure the management, organization and coordination of UPCI activities
• Supervise, accompany and unite a team of 2 collaborators
• Drive the implementation and development of institutional strategies for infection prevention and control
• Develop a culture of prevention and actively contribute to institutional projects related to the quality and safety of care
• Guarantee epidemiological surveillance activities of healthcare-associated infections and contribute to the analysis of data and to the definition of corrective measures
• Provide expertise and support to medical-nursing teams and to the various partners of the institution in the management of infectious risk
• Participate in the development, updating and dissemination of recommendations, procedures and good practices regarding infection prevention
• Supervise and develop training, teaching and awareness activities for professional·le·s
• Participate in the management of epidemic situations and coordinate the necessary actions in collaboration with the various partners
• Ensure scientific and regulatory monitoring in the field of infection prevention and control

Your profile :

• Bachelor of Science HES-SO in nursing or a title deemed equivalent recognized by the Swiss Red Cross
• Authorization to practice a health profession in the canton of Neuchâtel
• Recognized training in the field of Prevention and Infection Control (EPIAS), or equivalent
• Training in local management or management training, or willingness to follow training
• Experience in team management, an asset
• Mastery of standard IT tools
