Scientific & Substantiation Project Manager (M/F)

Your Mission

Reporting to the Chief Scientific Officer and member of the Concept team, you carry the scientific proof of our products: from the design of efficacy and tolerance studies to the construction of the claims dossier that fuels marketing.

You manage the Concept project portfolio, build and maintain the ingredient database as well as the product database, and are the scientific point of reference for R&D, Marketing, Regulatory, and Product Development.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage the complete cycle of efficacy and tolerance studies: protocol design, selection and monitoring of service providers, quality control of reports, interpretation and dissemination of results;
• Build and maintain the claims and evidence dossier for each product, guaranteeing traceability and the level of proof associated with each claim;
• Facilitate, prior to study design, the alignment workshop with Marketing in order to integrate the targeted claims into the evaluation protocol;
• Process claim requests from Marketing and propose, as appropriate, a defendable reformulation or new evidence to be produced;
• Manage the project portfolio of the Concept team: progress, priorities, milestones, and coordination with R&D, Regulatory, and Product Development;
• Structure and maintain the ingredient database: critical analysis of supplier documentation, construction of the scientific narrative, technical monitoring;
• Co-construct the product database with Marketing and Regulatory, guaranteeing the accuracy of scientific fields;
• Produce training materials intended for marketing teams and subsidiaries, and respond to scientific requests from markets.

Your qualifications

• You hold a Master's degree in cellular biology, biochemistry, chemistry, pharmacy, biotechnology, or scientific cosmetology;
• You have 3 to 7 years of experience in cosmetics, dermo-cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, or contract research organizations, in evaluation or scientific affairs roles;
• Experience managing clinical or instrumental studies is decisive;
• You master the design of evaluation protocols and skin biometrology methods;
• You possess operational statistical literacy and know how to judge the practical relevance of a significant result;
• You read scientific literature and supplier documentation critically, and understand the hierarchy of levels of proof;
• You know how to write for both a scientific audience and a consumer, and how to structure data into an exploitable framework;
• You are proficient in professional French and English;
• Knowledge of the European cosmetic regulatory framework and exposure to non-European markets are assets.

Start date: as soon as possible

Contract: Permanent (CDI) at 100%
