Make a difference

• You develop and operate modern data pipelines on AWS, from raw data ingestion to the managed data layer.
• In collaboration with the team, you implement batch and streaming solutions with Apache-Spark on AWS-Glue and EMR-Serverless as well as Apache-Kafka.
• You actively participate in the development of our data-lakehouse architecture with Apache-Iceberg, AWS-Lake-Formation and Amazon-Athena.
• Using AWS-Step-Functions and Amazon-EventBridge, you manage complex data and processing workflows.
• You contribute significantly to the high quality and stability of the platform through monitoring, observability and automated controls.
• You use CloudWatch, Grafana and OpenLineage in a targeted manner to ensure transparency and traceability throughout the data processing.
• In collaboration with internal stakeholders, you accompany solutions from the first design through to operation, including implementation according to the "You build it, you run it" principle.

What you bring

• You stand out with several years of experience in developing productive data pipelines with Scala (2.12) and Apache-Spark (3.x); you know the best practices for high-performance applications and for performing tests and maintenance with Scalatest, Scalafmt and ScalaFix.
• Deep knowledge of SQL and Apache Iceberg allows you to safely manage ACID transactions, table formats and schema evolution in modern data-lakehouse architectures.
• In the AWS environment, you have practical experience with at least three relevant data services such as AWS Glue, Amazon-EMR-Serverless, Amazon-Athena, AWS-Lambda, AWS-Step-Functions, Amazon-S3 or AWS-Lake-Formation.
• You describe and manage cloud infrastructures with Terraform (from version 1.2) and you have a good understanding of the entire infrastructure-as-code lifecycle.
• Ideally, you have already been able to acquire experience with Apache-Kafka, OpenLineage, AWS Lake-Formation or modern monitoring and reporting solutions such as Grafana, Amazon-QuickSight or Power-BI.
• You enjoy collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, you are able to work autonomously and to convey technical facts in a comprehensible manner.
• You communicate easily in French or German; you have good knowledge of technical English.
