Our client, a pharmaceutical company based in Basel, needs reinforcement. For a temporary position from 01.11.2026 to 30.04.2028 (18-month contract), we are looking for an experienced professional to support technical transfer operations.

Your main responsibilities ###

• Develop, evaluate, and implement innovative NGS methods and protocols, focusing on single-cell RNA sequencing and spatial or multi-omic multimodal applications to enhance platform capabilities and provide comprehensive insights into disease mechanisms and therapeutic targets
• Independently conduct experiments, analyze data, and produce high-quality reports.
• Apply scientific rigor to ensure the generation of data compliant with FAIR principles.
• Collaborate with wet lab and bioinformatics teams to interpret complex sequencing datasets and provide actionable insights to project teams
• Present protocols and results to internal stakeholders

Your profile ###

• Master's in biochemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology, life sciences, or a related discipline with 1-2 years of industry experience, specifically in genomics, in situ hybridization, imaging, and spatial techniques
• Direct and demonstrable experience with advanced molecular technologies, particularly next-generation sequencing (NGS) workflows
• Exceptional mastery of molecular biology techniques, including nucleic acid extraction, PCR/qPCR, and NGS library preparation
• Experience with challenging clinical sample types (e.g., FFPE tissues, primary tumor cells, low-quantity samples).
• Experience and enthusiasm for the development and improvement of experimental methods.
• Ability to conduct experiments independently, evaluate data, and communicate results effectively.
• You have an exceptional ability to collaborate within matrix and cross-functional teams, allowing for efficient work both independently and in a team in a diverse and heterogeneous environment
• Proficiency in English and the local language.
