Senior Network & Automation Architect (Private Cloud)

• IT - Network & Security • Bern • Contracting • Full-time • Immediately - 30.06.2027 (with option for internalization) • Network, Automation Your tasks: • Conception, engineering and continuous further development of modern network architectures in enterprise and datacenter environments • Responsibility for the construction, operation and optimization of a secure, highly available and scalable network infrastructure • Development and implementation of network segmentation, security and infrastructure concepts • Automation of network and infrastructure services using Infrastructure as Code • Ensuring quality, stability, performance and security of the operated network services • Close cooperation with Product Owners, architects as well as development and operations teams for the successful implementation of project goals • Evaluation of new technologies, conducting Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and deriving technical recommendations • Creation and maintenance of architecture, concept and operational documentation • Active shaping of the network architecture of a modern private cloud platform • Supporting the team through know-how transfer, reviews and technical consulting   Your profile: • Several years of professional experience as a Network Engineer with architectural responsibility or as a Network Architect in complex enterprise or datacenter environments • Sound experience in the conception and implementation of network architectures as well as network segmentation and security concepts • Very good knowledge in Enterprise Networking, especially Routing, Switching, Multicast and QoS • Very good knowledge of the routing protocols BGP and OSPF • Experience in Cisco Datacenter Networking • Sound knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol family (IPv4/IPv6, DNS, DHCP, NAT) • Practical experience with Linux in an infrastructure environment • Experience with network technologies in virtualization and Kubernetes environments (e.g., Cilium) • Very good knowledge in network automation with Ansible, Python, Bash and Git • Experience in the operation, monitoring and troubleshooting of complex enterprise networks • Routine in the creation of technical concepts, architecture documentation and technical standards • Independent, structured and solution-oriented way of working • Enjoyment of working in interdisciplinary teams and in an agile SAFe environment • Very good German skills in speaking and writing • Impeccable reputation, as well as resident in Switzerland for at least the last 5 years
