Head of Real Estate

In this key role, you will lead and develop the Real Estate department and be responsible for the municipal real estate portfolio throughout its entire lifecycle - from strategy and planning to client representation and facility management. In doing so, you will combine technical, financial, political, and user-oriented interests.

Your main tasks

• Leading the small real estate team
• Overall responsibility for processes and standards
• Management of the real estate portfolio as well as planning of maintenance, renovations, and investments including budget and financial planning
• Owner and client representation for new buildings, conversions, and renovations with responsibility for costs, deadlines, and quality
• Coordination of user needs and support for the building commissions
• Ensuring facility management, building operations, value preservation, as well as space and area management
• Advising the municipal council and administration management as well as preparing decision-making bases and motions.

Your profile

• Training in real estate, architecture, civil engineering, or comparable qualification; relevant further education is an advantage
• Several years of experience in the real estate, construction, or property sector and in the management of construction and renovation projects
• Good knowledge of real estate management and financial planning; knowledge of public procurement and administrative processes is an advantage
• Organizational and communication skills, political understanding, as well as an independent and solution-oriented way of working
