We are looking for a practice-oriented and detail-oriented Application Laboratory Technician (m/f/d) to support our team in the area of Application Engineering. In this role, you are responsible for the operation and organization of the laboratory, management of laboratory equipment, carrying out testing activities, as well as supporting development and customer projects. You will make an important contribution to efficient laboratory processes and support innovative product development and validation projects.

Job Description:

Laboratory Administration:
Maintenance, calibration, updating, and management of laboratory equipment and associated software systems
Monitoring of laboratory inventory and continuous optimization of stock management
Specification, procurement, and purchasing of laboratory equipment and consumables
Management of material stocks and ensuring the availability of required resources
Support in compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations in cooperation with the EHS department

Laboratory Operations:
Planning, organization, and execution of laboratory tests with various testing devices and test facilities
Meticulous documentation, analysis, and professional reporting of test results
Design and manufacture of simple testing fixtures, gauges, and aids (CAD knowledge is an advantage)
Support of the Application Engineers in testing, verification, and validation activities

Project Support:
Active participation in interdisciplinary project teams
Planning and execution of verification and validation tests
Support in the successful implementation of development and customer-oriented projects

Required Qualifications:
Completed vocational training with a Swiss Federal Diploma of Higher Education as a Laboratory Technician (specializations in physics, chemistry, materials science, or comparable) or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field
Experience in handling and maintaining laboratory equipment and testing facilities in a physical and chemical environment
Knowledge of the safe handling of chemicals as well as the applicable safety regulations in the laboratory environment
CAD knowledge is an advantage
Very good German and English skills in spoken and written form
