Are you a strong leadership personality, motivated to strategically shape and direct a central legal department with approximately 30 lawyers? In this key role, you will actively contribute to the legal competence of WAS Lucerne and play an essential role in the sustainable orientation of our organization. As part of the strategic realignment, the legal services of WAS Lucerne are being grouped into a single department in order to present themselves as a strong legal competence center, both internally and externally. The focus of your activity is on social insurance law. In addition, you will deal with issues in other legal areas such as data protection, public personnel law, as well as subjects related to owners. Taking up the position is possible by agreement. Your tasks

• You lead the legal department both professionally and personally, you develop it strategically and assume direct responsibility for the management of three team leaders as well as the secretariat, and the indirect management of approximately 30 lawyers.
• With your team, you ensure efficient and high-quality processing of appeals and complaints.
• You support and empower your employees in professional, organizational, and work process-related matters.
• You actively participate in the creation and development of the new department and promote a constructive and common team culture.
• You implement the strategy of WAS Lucerne in your area of responsibility and develop it continuously.
• You advise the management of the Services business area as well as the general management on legal issues.

Your skills

• You possess a university degree in law with a bar admission.
• You have long management experience in a legal environment.
• You convince with marked leadership and social skills as well as your ability to persuade and a strong orientation towards results.
• You have experience in change processes and in the development of organizations and teams.
• You demonstrate confidence, think strategically, and quickly grasp interconnections.
• You have a strong affinity for process optimization, digitalization, and efficient work.
