For our team in the Industrial Services area, Techfirm Engineering is looking for a Network Engineer who is ready to take on exciting challenges and grow with us in Switzerland.
Your tasks
Main tasks:

Software Development: You design, implement and test performant and robust applications and interfaces in C++ on Linux platforms.
Network Engineering: You design, integrate and optimize network architectures (routing, switching, IP protocols, firewall rules) for our system environments.
System Integration & Analysis: You accompany the software from development to commissioning on the target hardware and analyze complex network and system problems (e.g. using Wireshark).
DevOps & Automation: You support the construction of automated test and deployment environments (CI/CD via GitLab/Docker) for your software components.

Your profile

Basis: Training as an IT specialist (EFZ, HF, FH) or several years of professional experience in the IT system engineering / DevOps environment.
Software Skills: Solid programming skills in C++ as well as familiar use of the Linux system environment (user space, development tools such as GCC/CMake).
Network Know-how: Good understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, routing/switching, VPN) and enjoyment in optimally interfacing applications with the network infrastructure.
Scripting & Tools: Initial experience with scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Python) and version control (Git).
Fluent German skills in speaking and writing, at least at C1 level, as well as English at B2 level
