Labor Inspector, 80-100% The Office for Economy and Labor of the Canton of Solothurn is a dynamic organization that provides public services in various departments: including Regional Employment Centers RAV, public unemployment insurance, working conditions, and energy and climate. For the Working Conditions department, we are looking for a Labor Inspector, 80-100% at the Solothurn location, starting immediately or by agreement. Your responsibility You will carry out ASA system checks in companies in the canton, advise employers and employees on occupational safety, accident prevention, and health protection at the workplace (including psychosocial risk factors, maternity protection, and youth employment protection). In this function, you will advise and support companies, architects, and building authorities in the implementation of construction projects and the establishment of businesses. You will carry out plan approvals, plan reviews, construction acceptances, and business inspections. In addition to clarifying work accidents, your area of responsibility also includes checking working hours in companies and creating exceptional working time permits. Your profile You have a university or college degree in a technical or scientific field and several years of professional experience. A training as a safety engineer or specialist for occupational safety and health protection (ASGS) is required, or the willingness to complete such training. In addition to high social competence and very good communication skills, you are characterized by networked thinking and solution-oriented action.
