Pipe Network Fitter* Permanent position Water Supply Did you know that the city of Zürich has a water pipe network of around 1'550 km? By taking care of this network, our dedicated team of around 50 Pipe Network Fitters* makes an important contribution to the high quality of life in the city of Zürich. Would you also like to actively commit yourself to "Züriwasser", together with us? Do you want to develop personally and professionally? Then we should get to know each other. For the new construction, expansion, and maintenance work of drinking water pipes (incl. house connections), we are looking for new reinforcement by arrangement. Tasks After a comprehensive introduction, you will take on diverse pipe construction and repair work on varied pipe structures and other projects such as house connections in the city. You are significantly involved in the construction of house connections and thus ensure a reliable water supply for our residents. With precision, you independently measure pipe parts and take responsible care of water shut-offs. After your induction, you will perform on-call service recurringly (approx. 6 times a year, one week each) and thus contribute to the supply in the event of an emergency. You work with other pipe network fitter specialists in a team and can gain new work experience on impressive pipe systems (~50 mm to over 2 m diameter); an exciting challenge that goes beyond the classic sanitary and pipe construction sector. Profile A completed vocational apprenticeship EFZ in the field of sanitary, heating, metal construction, or construction trades Existing further training as a Pipe Network Fitter* with a federal diploma (eidg. Fachausweis) is an advantage; or you are ready to acquire this qualification with us (required for practice; supported by employer) Working outdoors in all weather is not a challenge for you, but a welcome change Your teamwork skills, your high awareness of quality and safety, as well as your commitment characterize you You are flexible, ready for on-call duty and ideally at home in the Zürich city region You possess a category B driver's license and good German language skills We offer A structured introduction and a further training plan that we support temporally and financially.
