Manager Operational Excellence & PMO 100%

In this versatile role, you will further develop Operational Excellence at the nine EM locations and make processes more efficient, services more measurable, and workflows more sustainable. With around 75 % Operational Excellence and 25 % central project management (PMO), you will analyze potential for improvement, develop suitable solutions together with the site managers and teams, and accompany their implementation – from workshop moderation to success control. At the same time, you will establish uniform standards, tools, and reporting for effective project management throughout EM. In doing so, you connect people, locations, and projects and report directly to the COO of Elektro-Material Schweiz.

• Supporting the nine EM locations in the continuous improvement of operational processes with a focus on productivity, quality, efficiency, throughput time, service level/delivery times
• Analysis of improvement potential as well as development of sustainable and practical optimization measures together with site managers and affected teams
• Implementation of improvement measures through planning, preparation, moderation, and follow-up of workshops for troubleshooting and the promotion of continuous development
• Verification of the effectiveness of implemented measures based on defined key figures, as well as tracking agreed activities and projects
• Documentation of project results, best practices, standards, and optimized workflows within the operations organization
• Ensuring uniform project management through suitable guidelines, templates, standards, and instruments, as well as supporting project managers, site managers, and project employees in the application of the defined project management methodology and tools
• Consolidation of the EM project portfolio through uniform standards as well as meaningful status and KPI reporting. Preparation of decision-making bases and coordination of information flow between project teams, site management, and executive management (GL)
• Completed studies or comparable training in business administration, industrial engineering, supply chain management, logistics, process management, or a related field
• Several years of professional experience in operations, logistics, supply chain, or process optimization
• Sound knowledge of Operational Excellence, Lean Management, and continuous improvement
• Experience in the analysis, design, and standardization of processes as well as in the implementation of sustainable efficiency increases
• Experience in the planning and implementation of improvement and change projects as well as in project management or as a PMO
• Good knowledge of project, program, or portfolio management as well as in the setup of status and KPI reporting
• Understanding of operational processes, especially in logistics, distribution, material flow, and warehouse organization
• Very good user skills in Microsoft 365, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint; experience with Power BI or comparable analysis and reporting tools is an advantage
• Very good communication and moderation skills as well as the ability to conduct workshops with different functions and hierarchical levels
• Proficient German in speaking and writing, good French and English skills are an advantage
• Willingness to travel regularly within Switzerland and to work on-site at the various locations
