Mission
As part of this role, reporting to the Watchmaking Division, you will be responsible for performing the operations of winding, pinning, and shaping the hairspring on all types of steel balance springs (flat and with Breguet curve from 1839 to the present day) according to Patek Philippe quality criteria. In parallel, you will be the guarantor of expertise on steel hairsprings, which you will pass on as part of training.
Responsibilities
Perform the operations of winding, pinning, and shaping the hairspring (flat hairspring or with Breguet curve) in a traditional manner.
Ensure the aesthetic, technical, and dimensional control of the balance spring in order to guarantee compliance according to our quality criteria.
Perform the necessary analyses and studies in order to remake hairsprings for historical pieces.
Transmit expertise as part of training in order to support watchmakers in acquiring the necessary skills for trades related to hairsprings and escapements.
Profile sought
CFC in Watchmaking or training deemed equivalent.
10 years minimum experience in the production of steel balance springs.
Proven mastery of traditional techniques related to the hairspring.
In-depth knowledge of movements and escapements.
High manual dexterity and gestural precision.
Ability to communicate in a constructive manner.
Experience in pedagogical training and the transmission of expertise.
Excellent sense of analysis, rigor, autonomy, and sense of responsibility.
