Do you want to help shape, take responsibility, and actively further develop our risk culture in sales? Then you are exactly right with us. With the expansion of our Business Risk Management team in the Retail and Private Banking area, we are strengthening our First Line of Defence and creating a central function at the interface of sales, risk, and compliance. For this responsible key role with a lot of creative freedom, we are looking for a committed and entrepreneurial-minded leader.

• Establishment and further development of Business Risk Management in the Retail and Private Banking area, as well as functional and personnel leadership of the new department with three employees.
• Central contact point for business risk, control, and compliance topics as well as advising executives and sales on demanding issues.
• Leadership, development, and empowerment of the team with clear prioritization, high quality orientation, and efficient cooperation.
• Identification of risks, weaknesses, and potential for improvement, as well as development and implementation of pragmatic measures, processes, and controls.
• Development of practical guidelines, tools, and training to strengthen regulatory know-how and risk awareness in sales.
• Close cooperation with compliance, process owners, and other relevant stakeholders as well as active participation in cross-departmental projects and further developments.
• Representation of the interests of Business Risk Management and promotion of constructive, solution-oriented cooperation between business and control functions.

What you bring with you

• Several years of leadership and project management experience, ideally in a cantonal bank environment, as well as sound experience in risk management or compliance.
• Good knowledge of the Swiss banking and regulatory environment as well as experience in the further development of processes and their successful implementation.
• Joy in building something new, taking responsibility, and actively shaping changes.
• Clear, binding, and empathetic leadership personality with the ability to bring different interests together and provide orientation.
• Strong communication and mediation skills as well as a confident appearance in interdisciplinary teams.
• Structured and networked way of thinking, combined with pragmatism, initiative, and strong implementation skills.
• Very good German skills in spoken and written form as well as confident handling of Excel, PowerPoint, and Confluence; Avaloq knowledge is an advantage.
