For our client, an established Swiss company in the field of building automation, control technology and technical plant solutions, we are looking for an experienced and professionally skilled personality as Senior Electrical Designer Control Technology / Building Automation 80-100% (m/f) in the Zug ZG area.

In this function, you will undertake demanding tasks in the electrical design of control and automation solutions. You will create electrical schematics, define electrical components and ensure that technical documentation is implemented cleanly, according to standards and in a practical manner.

A versatile task awaits you with high technical depth, direct practical relevance and close cooperation with project management, control construction, assembly and commissioning.

Your Task ##

• Creation and editing of electrical schematics, circuit diagrams, terminal diagrams, cable lists and bills of materials
• Electrical design for control systems, control cabinets and automation solutions in the building technology environment
• Sizing of controls, controllers, sensors, actuators, drives, safety components and field devices
• Creation of production and assembly documentation for control construction, control cabinet construction, wiring and plant installation
• Technical clarifications with project management, automation, control construction, assembly, purchasing and external partners
• Adapting and optimizing existing electrical schematics during conversions, expansions or modernizations
• Checking schematics regarding function, completeness, standards, feasibility and serviceability
• Supporting commissioning, technical inquiries, error analysis and documentation adjustments
• Maintenance of article data, macros, templates, project documentation and technical standards
• Participation in the improvement of engineering processes, documentation quality and internal processes

Your Profile ##

You have sound experience in electrical design and understand how technical documentation is practically implemented in control construction, assembly and commissioning. You work precisely, think structurally and bring joy to clean technical planning.

Ideally, you bring:

• Completed training as an automation technician, electrical planner, electrical designer, electrical installer with control technology experience or comparable electrotechnical training
• Several years of experience in electrical design, control technology, building automation, control cabinet construction or technical building equipment
• Good knowledge of EPLAN P8, AutoCAD Electrical or a comparable ECAD system
• Confident handling of electrical schematics, terminal diagrams, cable lists, bills of materials and technical documentation
• Good understanding of controls, controllers, sensors, actuators, drives, control cabinets and field devices
• Experience in the field of HVAC, energy systems, control technology or building automation is an advantage
• Knowledge of electrotechnical standards, safety requirements and practical documentation
• Ability to record technical requirements and translate them into clean, understandable engineering documentation
• Exact, structured and quality-conscious way of working
• Good German skills in speaking and writing
