Leadership position in the Hochbauamt

Your responsibility

• strategic building maintenance: You plan, coordinate, and monitor timely structural maintenance, including preventive maintenance measures for the preservation of the properties' substance.
• Finance and controlling: You prepare the annual maintenance and budget planning and ensure the economical use of public funds.
• Team leadership: You lead and promote the specialist personnel reporting to you.
• Procurement: You are responsible for the awarding of maintenance services to external craftsmen and planners in compliance with public procurement regulations.
• Stakeholder management: You work closely with internal and external stakeholders, particularly property management, users, and external partners.
• Project management/Client representation: If required, you lead renovation, modernization, and repair projects from tender to completion and take a decisive role in organizational projects within the Hochbauamt.

Your background

• You have successfully completed a basic technical or manual training and possess higher professional training as a dipl. Technikerin/Techniker Bauplanung, as a dipl. Bauleiterin/Bauleiter.
• You bring several years of practical experience in project management in structural real estate maintenance, ideally with experience in the environment of a public administration and in interdisciplinary cooperation.
• You have verifiable technical and personnel leadership experience and are characterized by a cooperative and goal-oriented understanding of leadership.
• You have a pronounced understanding of public procurement and are digitally savvy.
• A high awareness of costs and quality, negotiation skills, as well as a structured and solution-oriented way of working characterize you.

Within the Bau- und Umweltschutzdirektion, the Hochbauamt, with around 320 employees, is committed to the care and development of the buildings and plots in the administrative and financial assets of the Canton as well as the cantonal rentals. The service delivery of the Hochbauamt takes place along the real estate life cycle and interdisciplinary via the business units Portfoliomanagement, Projekt- und Baumanagement, Technisches Gebäudemanagement, Infrastrukturelles Gebäudemanagement, Finanzen und Services as well as the Fachstelle Altlasten und Schadstoffe.
The employees of the Business Unit Technical Building Management ensure that the buildings and technical systems/facilities of the Canton are operated reliably, safely, and energy-efficiently. This concerns the planning, implementation, and monitoring of all structural, technical, and operational tasks – including maintenance, repair, and furnishing.
