Local Site Manager Unterwerke Ostermundigen (80-100%)

Ensure electricity in Switzerland

In this exciting function, you are responsible for the coordination of work on-site at our facilities during new constructions, renewal, and expansion activities. Among other things, you will undertake the following tasks:

• Assumption of facility responsibility according to EN50110 during the construction phase and close cooperation with the operational contact person for the facility, as well as the project managers
• Control and compliance with safety rules (Health & Safety), environmental requirements, as well as Swissgrid internal instructions, processes, and specifications through regular audits
• Verification and ensuring electrical safety on-site in our grid construction projects
• Creation and instruction of work orders before and during the work, accompaniment of the necessary switching measures in coordination with the operational contact person for the facility, the system management, and other involved parties
• Client representation on-site and ensuring occupational safety
• Central contact point for internal and external partners
• You support the safe working of Swissgrid and its partners and actively drive the «Safety First» culture forward

For this responsible position, we are looking for you as a team player, but also an independently acting personality with pronounced cooperation and communication skills. With your good negotiation techniques, you can also represent your opinion towards service providers and authorities. In addition, you bring the following:

• Vocational training in electrical engineering
• Further training as a technician HF with a degree in the field of electrical engineering or an equivalent education is an advantage
• Expertise in plant construction according to the High Voltage Ordinance, Art. 3 No. 23, is an advantage
• Several years of professional experience in connection with work in plant construction (power plants, HS plants, industrial plants)
• Technical knowledge of primary and/or secondary technical equipment of the facilities
• Pronounced conceptual skills and an independent way of working
• Good IT skills and user knowledge of the MS Office suite, SAP, and GIS as well as BIM methodologies
• Willingness for multi-day assignments outside the office location at construction sites in your language region
• Stylistically and negotiation-secure knowledge in German, ideally with advanced knowledge in French
