January 2027 or by arrangement a Commander Cantonal Police (f/m/d) You lead the Cantonal Police in strategic and operational aspects, in cooperation with the management of the Cantonal Police and in close coordination with the departmental leadership of the Department of Security and Justice You further develop the strategy of the Cantonal Police, based on the priority planning of the government and the strategic objectives of the Department of Security and Justice You ensure future-oriented personnel, organizational, and cultural development of the Cantonal Police and advocate for the further strengthening of an attractive and professional police force You create optimal framework conditions for the police force and ensure the prerequisites for effective and efficient coordination between all main departments as well as for the technical fulfillment of all police tasks You maintain contact with authorities, partner organizations, and other institutions and represent the interests of the Cantonal Police in public In supra-regional and national committees as well as commissions, specialist groups, and projects, you represent the Cantonal Police and advocate for profitable and future-oriented cooperation You have a completed university degree, preferably with a focus on law or business administration You bring comprehensive leadership training and leadership experience in larger areas of the private sector or the public sector Officer training in the police and/or the army is an advantage You are an upright and team-oriented personality with pronounced organizational and communication skills, who finds it easy to act in a connecting manner across different levels and to promote positive exchange You have experience in the development and implementation of new strategies and the realization of corresponding projects Preferably, you bring knowledge of future-oriented developments in the security sector or the police You are characterized by high motivation, enthusiasm, and resilience A demanding and versatile leadership function An extraordinary and meaningful working environment with extremely dedicated employees The opportunity to accompany a modern and professional police force into the future Insight into the versatility of the Department of Security and Justice as well as opportunities for co-determination as part of the top management For additional information regarding the task, State Councilor Christof, Head of the Department of Security and Justice (Telephone ), is at your disposal.
