For an established social institution in Basel, we are looking for the short term for an experienced specialist from social pedagogy, agogics, or disability assistance, who will effectively support an existing team in the residential area during a fixed-term period.

At the center are adults with various impairments and support needs. They do not need a person to take over their daily lives, but someone who accompanies them professionally, strengthens their independence, and maintains an overview even in more demanding situations. Therefore, we are looking for immediately or by arrangement

Your task:

• You provide professional and operational support to an existing, experienced team in assisted living. In doing so, you work closely with the residents, contribute your agogic experience, and take on responsibility where it is currently needed
• Accompanying and supporting adults with impairments in everyday residential life
• Promotion of self-determination, independence, and social participation
• Resource-oriented and individual agogic accompaniment
• Support in organizing daily life and leisure activities
• Planning and implementation of individual accompaniment processes
• Professional documentation of care work
• Professional exchange and support within the team
• Cooperation with internal specialist departments as well as external contact persons
• Contact with relatives, legal representatives, and other involved agencies
• Depending on experience, taking on additional coordinative or professional responsibility

What you bring with you:

• Ideally, training as a Social Pedagogue HF/FH, Specialist in Care EFZ specializing in people with impairments, or a comparable training in the agogic environment
• However, the title on your diploma is not the only deciding factor. It is important that you bring experience in accompanying adults with impairments and can move confidently in a demanding residential environment
• You are independent, resilient, and reliable. You can assess situations, communicate clearly and respectfully, and remain calm even when a workday goes differently than planned
• Leadership, coordination, or deputy experience is welcome, but not a mandatory requirement.

• You will encounter an existing team that temporarily needs additional professional support, and a working environment in which professional agogics, reliability, and common sense are more important than big words
• The assignment is fixed-term; the start should be as short-term as possible. The workload is 80-100% depending on availability
