Head of IT Development Global (m/w/d)

As part of a succession arrangement, we are looking for an experienced and technology-enthusiastic personality for the locations Brugg and Dürrenäsch as

In this role, you are responsible for software development for our global business division and lead the corresponding development organization as part of our IT department of around 80 people.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Personnel and organizational management of the IT Development Global department with around 20 employees
• Further development of employees as well as the organizational and technical skills of the department
• Budget responsibility, cost control, and vendor management for the IT Development Global area
• Overall substantive and technical responsibility for the development and operation of the software products and services of the area
• Ensuring a sustainable software architecture as well as modern development processes and quality standards
• Ensuring security, availability, and resilience as well as suitable backup, fallback, and restart concepts for the responsible systems
• Development, coordination, and implementation of the product strategy and roadmap in cooperation with the business
• Close cooperation with the business-side Product Owners in the prioritization and further development of the products
• Cooperation and division of tasks with the other development departments as well as coordination with the CIO
• Cooperation with external partners for student projects

Your Qualifications

• Completed studies in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of leadership experience with personnel responsibility in the field of software development, ideally in an international environment
• Strong ability to develop employees and teams, delegate responsibility, and promote constructive cooperation
• Broad technical understanding of modern enterprise software architectures and technologies, ideally with experience in Java, TypeScript, MongoDB, Kafka, and Kubernetes
• Experience in AI-native software development as well as interest in the further development of modern development processes
• High interest in understanding business processes, mapping them in the domain model, and developing sustainable IT solutions from them
• Strong-communicating and pragmatic personality with high decision-making and implementation competence
• Team-oriented and practical leadership personality with enjoyment in working across organizational boundaries
• Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented way of working
• Readiness for regular presence at our locations in Brugg and Dürrenäsch
• Business-fluent German and English skills
