The Catholic Church in the Canton of Zürich is active with 47 hospital and clinic chaplains in 31 hospitals and psychiatric clinics in the Canton of Zürich. Due to a change in position, we are looking for, by or after agreement, a Catholic Hospital Chaplain / Hospital Chaplain for the Kantonsspital Winterthur (40%) The Kantonsspital Winterthur (KSW) is the center hospital in the greater Winterthur area. With more than 4000 employees, 500 beds, numerous outpatient patients, the KSW ensures comprehensive basic medical care for more than a quarter of a million inhabitants. The KSW is a pioneer in digitalization, with the goal of being able to treat patients optimally in the future. Your main tasks: Accompanying and supporting patients as well as their relatives in health-related and humanly challenging life situations. Accompanying and supporting employees in emotionally challenging work situations. Collaboration in the interreligious chaplaincy team and interprofessionally with hospital employees. Co-designing services, spiritual and cultural offerings in the hospital. Your profile: Completed theological studies or a comparable qualification. Additional qualifications for hospital chaplaincy (CPT or similar), crisis intervention, spirituality or palliative care, or the willingness to undergo further training in these areas. Ideally practical experience in illness chaplaincy in a clinical environment. Empathy, person-centered attitude and communication competence.
