Ittigen, Switzerland (and home office) | 80-80% What you can contribute <br /> • Manage, from a technical and organizational perspective, the national observation network for groundwater quality (NAQUA) • Design and coordinate the chemical analysis program for the observation of groundwater quality with specialized cantonal services • Contribute to the conceptual and operational development of the national groundwater monitoring program • Support projects led by research institutions, private laboratories, or consulting firms • Follow scientific developments relating to groundwater quality issues; participate in working groups and represent the OFEV in committees • Write technical publications and expert reports as well as answer questions from the media and parliamentarians in the field of groundwater quality observation <br /> What makes you unique <br /> • Higher education degree in engineering or natural sciences and, if possible, supplemented by a doctorate • Experience in environmental chemistry and groundwater quality • Strong analytical skills, negotiation skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with different interlocutors (federal and cantonal authorities, technicians, etc.) • Experience in project management and in supporting working groups and expert groups • Innovative and independent personality who enjoys collaborating with many different interlocutors and taking on challenges • Good active knowledge of at least a second official language and, if possible, knowledge of a third official language <br /> In a few words You contribute to ensuring that the Confederation and the cantons have reliable and scientifically based data to evaluate groundwater quality and identify developments early enough.
