• Operate, further develop, anchor the Data Compliance Management System (DCMS) in the organization and monitor its effectiveness.
• Further develop governance principles, specifications, roles and processes and transfer them into systems and operational workflows.
• Identify and assess data compliance risks as well as accompany the implementation of suitable measures for their management.
• Conduct and further develop risk-based audits and assessments. Derive and follow up on improvement measures.
• Lead or accompany projects and change initiatives at the interface of law, organization and IT and advise directorates and specialist departments on data compliance requirements.
• Design and implement training, awareness and communication measures.

What makes you unique

• University degree at Master's level or comparable training as well as sound knowledge of data protection and information law.
• At least five years of practical experience in compliance and governance as well as sound experience in the development and implementation of governance structures, standards, roles and processes or compliance management systems.
• For the position with a focus on governance and further development, in particular, in-depth experience related to audit and Internal Control System (IKS) is sought; experience in Risk Management is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of data, information systems and business processes as well as their legal and organizational connections.
• Experience in leading or accompanying complex projects and change initiatives in the compliance and governance environment as well as the ability to quickly grasp, structure and communicate complex issues in a manner appropriate to the target group.
• Good oral and written knowledge in two official languages as well as in English, each at least at level B2.

In a nutshell

To strengthen our team, we are looking for two experienced specialists for Data Compliance. Both functions involve a comparable range of tasks with different professional focuses. For one position, we are looking for a specialist with in-depth experience in governance and further development related to audit and Internal Control System (IKS), for the other a specialist with in-depth experience in the implementation and organizational anchoring of Data Compliance.

Kriminalprävention und Recht (KPR) unites the competence centers for Data Compliance, Law, Crime Prevention and the Money Laundering Reporting Office (MROS).

The Data Compliance department at fedpol ensures the secure, legally compliant and responsible handling of data throughout the entire data lifecycle. It is responsible for the construction, operation and further development of the agency-wide Data Compliance Management System (DCMS) and further develops the governance, audit and control structures required for this.
