• 22 June 2026 • 80 - 100% • Indeterminate duration • Geneva We will achieve this together ## Within SIG, the Engineering Solutions and Projects Directorate (SPI) offers innovative engineering solutions for the renewal and development of SIG networks and facilities in a multi-fluid approach. It ensures the management of SIG engineering projects by guaranteeing deadlines, costs, quality, and risk management throughout the project. Attached to the « Environment, Construction and Hydraulics » unit, Project Engineers in Architecture pilot or contribute to projects for the creation, renovation, and extension of facilities related to all SIG business areas (high-voltage electrical substations, pumping and water treatment stations, gas facilities, thermal power plants, -). As such, they ensure the management of projects by integrating ecological, operational, and human issues at each stage, in a logic of economic, environmental, and acceptability optimization for all stakeholders. They also contribute, as experts, to the integration of architectural, construction, and BIM (Building Information Modeling) collaboration issues, as well as the legal framework for construction, within SIG's facility projects. In parallel, they pilot or accompany building permit files on behalf of SIG and coordinate SIG's positions within preliminary opinions on third-party projects. Finally, Project Engineers in Architecture ensure an interface role with the competent authorities and offices (OAC, OCAN, OCIRT, Fire Police, SERMA, SABRA, -). They represent SIG, carry files, and conduct the necessary exchanges and negotiations for the completion of projects. Your energy for a sustainable Geneva ## As a Project Engineer in Architecture, you will have to ensure the following tasks: • Pilot or ensure the study of several projects in parallel, from the opportunity study to the realization of the facility; • Write specifications, establish tender files, and evaluate the proposed technical solutions; • Pilot mandators and companies; • Develop and carry building permit files; • Control and expertize the proper execution of performed services; • Provide advice and expertise on architecture, low-carbon construction, and facility management, and particularly their durability over time. Develop strategies and negotiate with external stakeholders; • Develop professional relationships and networks (cantonal and federal offices, cantonal commissions, industry associations, mandators, companies, etc.) Your personality and skills ## This position requires the following skills: • Advanced technical knowledge in the field of architecture; • Proven experience in project management and specifically in complex and/or industrial facilities; • Very good knowledge of the Geneva legal and regulatory context as well as the processes leading to building permits; • Sense of responsibility, rigor, synthesis and initiative, availability, creativity, proactivity, versatility; • Ability to analyze and solve problems in the field of activity and ability to negotiate and convince; • Teamwork, adaptability, communication talent, and writing skills; • Mastery of 2D/3D design software (AutoCAD, Revit) and BIM methodology. Holder of an EPF architect's diploma, university degree or equivalent with more than 3 years of experience in their specific field, or HES with more than 5 years of experience in their specific field, you ideally have more than 5 years of professional experience in project management. In addition to your technical expertise, you have good experience in stakeholder management, financial management, and project risk management. You are familiar with cantonal and federal legislative aspects and building permit processes. Good knowledge of the Geneva political and associative fabric would be an asset.
