• Checking customs documents
• Performing cargo and goods clearance inspections
• Verifying vehicle compliance with current police safety regulations
• Collaborating in the collection and control of the heavy vehicle fee based on performance (TTPCP)
• Working irregular shifts

What distinguishes you

• Federal Certificate of Capacity obtained at the end of at least a three-year basic vocational training; high school diploma, diploma issued by a specialized school or equivalent diploma
• Swiss or Liechtenstein citizenship or C residence permit
• Strong willingness to learn, efficiency, availability to work in different locations, category B driver's license
• Willingness to wear a uniform
• Excellent knowledge of an official language

In summary

You will provide support in the Basel and Aargau regions during cross-border traffic controls and in the application of customs regulations. You will work closely with customers and will have the opportunity to protect the interests of the SEM with determination and conviction.

Security for the population, the economy and the State

The Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (SEM) guarantees global security at the border for the benefit of the population, economy and State and is well interconnected at national and international levels. Among its main tasks are the correct and prompt imposition of tradable goods, the rapid management of tourist traffic as well as the areas of migration and security police. With Criminal Prosecution the SEM has its own investigative authority. The SEM is in the middle of digital transformation. The DaziT program enables the simplification, optimization and digitalization of all customs, tax collection and control processes.
