Water Protection Officer* With your expertise, you contribute to the sustainable protection of waters in the city of Zürich. You combine water protection, environmental consulting, and enforcement, support companies and authorities in complying with legal requirements, and thereby make an important contribution to the protection of our waters and sewers. Tasks You ensure the enforcement of water protection legislation in commercial and industrial enterprises in the city of Zürich, inspect the assigned enterprises, and advise them on all matters relevant to water protection. You prepare water protection law permits, review building applications as well as projects from industry and commerce, and coordinate these with municipal specialist departments and authorities. You assess construction site drainage concepts as well as concession applications, authorize construction site wastewater discharges, and carry out on-site construction site inspections. You process damage cases in the area of public waters and sewers and implement water protection law measures. You participate in sensitizing companies as well as other stakeholders to water protection-relevant topics and support the further development of contemporary rainwater management. Profile Technical or chemical basic training (EFZ) with further training in the environmental field (HF/FH or comparable). Experience in water protection, operational environmental protection, or a comparable specialist field, as well as dealing with authorities. Enjoyment in dealing with people from different occupational groups and willingness for further training. Very good German skills (level C1), independent and structured way of working, as well as willingness to take on responsibility in enforcement.
