Lecturer for French Basics The Pädagogisches Hochschulinstitut NMS Bern (PH NMS Bern) is a privately run higher education institute for the training of primary school teachers (Cycle 1 and Cycle 2). It is accredited as a Pedagogical University and, on behalf of the Canton of Bern, conducts a degree program for primary school teachers and projects in applied research & development. The institute is part of the long-standing educational institution NMS Bern. It currently employs around 120 staff members for around 320 students in teaching and research and is located in the center of the city of Bern. The PH-Institute NMS Bern is awarding a position as a Lecturer for French Basics from 1. February 2027 10%, from 1. August % Tasks Design and implementation of evidence-based courses in the field of French Basics in the training of primary school teachers; Conception, implementation and assessment of performance records; Participation in the further development of the department; Supervision and assessment of Bachelor's theses; Accompanying students during their internships at the primary school level; Collaboration within the lecturer team. Requirements Language competence in French at native speaker level; Teaching diploma and teaching experience; preferably at the primary school level; University degree in the field of French (linguistics) or in a related field; Higher education didactic qualification (or willingness to acquire it); Enjoyment of collaboration in the Didactics specialist team and in the lecturer team; Openness to designing teaching and learning processes innovatively; Doctorate desired.
