Production operator, paint preparation

Missions :

You manufacture paints: weighing, mixing, shade control and drum filling, in the preparation laboratory of an industrial site in Vaud which trains its own operators and hires those who remain on a permanent basis.

YOUR MISSION
You manufacture the paint batches intended for the production lines. You weigh and mix the components according to the recipes, you control the shade obtained and correct it until it is compliant, then you prepare and fill the drums for the line program. You are the guarantor of the compliance of each batch that leaves your hands.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES :

Prepare paint batches according to recipes and manufacturing sheets.
Weigh and dose components precisely, in compliance with chemical product handling instructions.
Operate the laboratory mixing installations.
Control the shade and appearance of the batch, then make the necessary corrections until compliance.
Prepare the drums for the line program and ensure drum filling.
Enter manufacturing data: weighings, batch numbers, corrections made.
Supply and service the workstation with a stacker, several times a day.
Keep the work area clean and safe and respect safety instructions.

PRACTICAL CONDITIONS
Day shifts at the beginning, then 2x8, with a planned transition to 3x8 (morning 5h00 to 13h35, afternoon 13h30 to 22h05, night 22h00 to 5h05, 30 minutes of break): acceptance of the 3x8 eventually is a condition of the position.
Temporary mission of 3 months at 100%, with the possibility of permanent employment with our client afterwards.
Start date immediately or to be agreed.
Production site in an industrial zone, free parking on site.
Protective equipment provided.

SEARCHED PROFILE :

ENTRY CONDITION: you drive a stacker every day in your current or recent position, to pick up and place loads at height. An electric pallet jack on the ground does not meet this requirement. Without this daily practice, the application cannot be considered.
Recognized forklift certificate, or attested equivalent practice.
At least one year of experience in production or in a fast-paced and physical job, including catering.
Experience with paint, mixing or surface treatment is an asset, not a condition.
Ready to work in shifts, 2x8 then 3x8, including at night.
Precision and rigor: a weighing, a recipe and a batch number do not tolerate approximations.
Autonomous, proactive, punctual, good team spirit and ability to learn quickly.
Good physical condition: standing position, handling of drums, shift work.
Fluent French spoken to understand and apply instructions and product sheets.
Comfortable with a computer in production: reading recipes on screen, entering weighings and batch numbers, printing labels.
Driver's license and personal vehicle: start and end of service times require being autonomous in travel.
Residence less than 30 minutes from the site.
Valid authorization to work in Switzerland.
