Your tasks

• Independent case management of individuals and families within the framework of economic and personal social assistance
• Intake of new cases as well as comprehensive assessment of the personal, family, professional, and financial situation
• Examination of jurisdiction, need, subsidiarity, and social assistance law entitlement to benefits
• Assessment and consistent assertion of prior claims against social insurance providers, persons liable for maintenance, and other benefit providers
• Creation and ongoing review of support budgets
• Preparation of applications, decrees, reports, and decision bases for the competent municipal authorities
• Professional approval of benefits and payments within the delegated competence framework
• Advising clients on social, financial, family, health, and administrative issues
• Joint development of binding goals and measures for social and professional integration
• Promotion of self-responsibility and accompaniment with the goal of sustainable stabilization and independence from social assistance
• Mediation and coordination of suitable integration, employment, education, and support offers
• Cooperation with municipalities, social assistance authorities, social insurance providers, RAV, KESB, health specialist centers, and other partner organizations
• Preparation and, if necessary, participation in meetings of the competent social assistance authorities
• Implementation of standardized assessments and requesting of missing documents
• Complete and up-to-date management of dossiers, deadlines, pending items, payments, and file notes in the specialist system KLIB
• Regular review of ongoing support as well as adjustment of measures in the event of changed circumstances
• Recognition of complex, contentious, or high-risk situations and timely involvement of the team lead or other specialist centers
• Ensuring reliable and target-group-oriented communication with clients, authorities, and internal interfaces

Your profile

• Completed degree in Social Work, preferably Bachelor of Science in Social Work FH, or a recognized equivalent education
• Professional experience in statutory or economic social assistance is an advantage
• Good knowledge of Swiss social assistance and social insurance law
• Knowledge of the legal basics and enforcement practice in the Canton of Basel-Landschaft is an advantage
• Experience in examining support claims as well as creating budgets, applications, and decision bases
• Ability to carefully clarify facts and document them in a professionally and legally comprehensible manner
• Knowledge of the specialist system KLIB is an advantage
• Very good written and oral German skills
• Strong advisory, coordination, and conflict resolution skills
• Resource- and solution-oriented approach to people in challenging life situations
• Professional understanding of roles as well as confident handling of proximity and distance
• High level of care in dealing with financial benefits, dossiers, deadlines, and confidential information
• Structured way of working and good self-management even with multiple cases managed in parallel
