As of 1 September 2026 or by arrangement, the Department of Education, Social Institutions and Sport is looking for you as a School Social Worker: Köniz Buchsee (50 %) ## What you will achieve with us • Counseling of students (basic level to 9th grade) on (psycho-)social topics • Counseling of school leaders, teachers and legal guardians • Networking and cooperation with specialized agencies and authorities, triage • Advising the school in the implementation of health promotion and prevention • Informing and raising awareness of relevant child and youth topics • Professional advice and professional assessment in cases of possible child welfare endangerment • Class interventions and coaching of the teacher during social challenges (e.g., conflicts, bullying) in the class • Participation in a diverse team of school social workers How you will inspire us • Higher education in Social Work or Social Pedagogy • Subject-specific further training, e.g. CAS Systemic Counseling or CAS School Social Work • Experience and joy in working with children and adolescents • Interest in working in a school setting • Independent and networked working, organizational skills. • Open, empathetic personality and confident appearance. • Independent, team player, flexible, resilient and communicative.
