For the August 2027 intake, we are looking for a first-year commercial employee apprentice ready to discover a varied and dynamic professional environment! The Association « Sécurité dans l’Ouest lausannois » was created to guarantee local policing at the service of the population. Since January 1st, 2008, the municipalities of Bussigny, Chavannes-près-Renens, Crissier, Ecublens, Prilly, Renens, Saint-Sulpice and Villars-Sainte-Croix have been working together within an intercommunal police force.
To successfully carry out its missions, the Police de l’Ouest lausannois (POL) relies on more than a hundred female and male employees and works in coordination with various partners, notably the Police cantonale vaudoise.
Is this apprenticeship position made for you?
As a commercial employee apprentice within our Association, you will have the opportunity to discover several administrative fields and to develop your skills within different departments, notably the Chancellerie, the Commission de police and Human Resources.
Your apprenticeship with us:
At the Chancellerie:
Welcoming and informing visitors at the reception of our Hôtel de police;
Answering and directing telephone calls;
Processing incoming and outgoing mail;
Participating in the processing of fixed penalty notices, appeals and police reports;
Ensuring various filing and archiving tasks.
At the Commission de police:
Participating in the processing of penal orders and unsettled offenses;
Participating in the preparation and follow-up of hearings;
Performing cash controls;
Participating in the processing of denunciations related to public and private domains;
Answering telephone calls and performing various administrative and filing tasks.
At Human Resources:
Participating in the management of the life cycle of female and male employees: entries, transfers and departures;
Participating in the recruitment process of apprentices;
Participating in the processing and follow-up of medical certificates;
Answering emails and telephone calls;
Establishing and updating various Excel tracking tables and Word documents.

Your profile:
Certificate of completion of compulsory schooling successfully obtained;
Interest in public service, police professions and/or the legal field;
Good command of French, both orally and in writing;
Ability to adapt and capacity to face changes;
Sociable, motivated personality who appreciates teamwork;
Sense of organization and responsibility;
Swiss nationality or holder of a permit C;
Not subject to any entry in the criminal record or the debt collection register.
