Background:

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• System Architect: Responsibility for the connection of automation systems to AVEVA PI as well as data modeling in PI AF. In doing so, interfaces are configured, adjacent components (PI Vision, PI DAS) are maintained, and continuous maintenance over the entire lifecycle is ensured.
• Solution Design: Joint analysis of the requirements for the PI system with internal business partners and implementation of optimal, GMP-compliant solutions.
• Project Engineering: Planning and processing of projects with a focus on PI-Historian – from specification to handover to operations.
• Operations & Support: Jointly ensuring administration and smooth operation within the team (incl. error analysis, root-cause analyses, and deviation handling).
• Compliance: Control of change control processes as well as qualification and validation activities according to Roche guidelines.
• Knowledge Transfer: Training of employees as well as support for customers with technical questions and authority inspections

Must Haves:

• Degree or training in computer science, electrical engineering, automation technology, or a comparable field
• Expertise: In-depth knowledge of AVEVA PI as well as the associated infrastructure components (DA, AF, DAS) as well as experience in connecting automation systems and maintaining these connections over the lifecycle
• Experience in handling SQL is an advantage
• IT Architecture: Broad understanding of network technology and system integration in an industrial environment
• Several years of practice as a System Engineer with experience in project engineering, ideally in a GMP-regulated environment
• Know-how in the automated manufacture of pharmaceutical products
• Business fluent German is mandatory and English is an advantage
