Behind professional textile care lies much more than washing: modern technology, various textiles, quality control and responsibility are just as much a part of it. From August 2027, we are training an apprentice as a Specialist in Textile Care EFZ, Specialization Laundry. During your three-year training, you will learn the entire process of professional textile care, from the receipt and sorting of laundry through modern washing and drying processes to quality control and delivery. Your tasks During your three-year training, you will get to know all areas of professional textile care. These include, among others: Receiving, sorting and preparing various textiles Operating and monitoring modern washing, drying and finishing systems Applying different washing and care processes depending on the type of textile Checking the textiles for quality and cleanliness Folding, packaging and preparing the laundry for delivery Assisting with the care and maintenance of the machines Complying with hygiene, quality and safety regulations Getting to know the processes of a modern laundry and participating in daily business Your profile Completed Real- or Sekundarschule Good oral and written German skills (B2) Enjoyment in operating machines and in practical, manual work Technical understanding Interest in textiles as well as in chemistry and environmental topics Reliable, careful and team-oriented way of working Your apprenticeship lasts 3 years and leads to the Federal Certificate of Proficiency (EFZ). You will attend the vocational school «STF Schweizerische Textilfachschule» in Winterthur as well as the inter-company courses and implement what you have learned directly in our company.
