With almost 25'000 inhabitants, Horgen is an attractive municipality on the left shore of Lake Zurich. The public school consists of seven school units with approximately 2'400 pupils from kindergarten to secondary level and employs around 500 employees.

To complement the team of the Bergli school unit, we are looking for a

School Social Worker, 40 % ##

What awaits you

• You accompany and support individual children with special needs and challenging social behavior in cooperation with teachers and special education teachers in their school integration into the regular class
• You create individual pedagogical support plans and implement them
• You work with all reference persons of the child, especially with legal guardians
• In addition, you work together with the school team, school social work, school social pedagogy and external specialist centers
• The place of work is the Baumgärtli primary school: A family-like schoolhouse with around 65 pupils
• Working days: Wednesday to Friday

What characterizes you

• a diploma FH/HF in social pedagogy or an equivalent social pedagogical training
• knowledge in systemic, solution- and resource-oriented work
• professional experience in the social pedagogical field (especially with children and adolescents)
• competencies in the areas of support planning, counseling, prevention as well as in the specialist field of behavioral abnormalities
• an independent and interdisciplinary way of working
• high communication skills
• joy in working with children and adolescents in the school environment
