In total, the PSI employs 2300 people.  For the Advanced Analytics Platform group, we are looking for a(n) Your tasks • Perform chemical analyses using ICP-OES and ICP-MS, with occasional support for GC-MS and LC-MS measurements  • Support the development, validation and optimization of analytical methods under supervision, mainly for ICP-based analyses  • Use, maintain, calibrate and troubleshoot analytical instruments  • Evaluate, document and report analytical results  • Provide technical advice and analytical support within a multidisciplinary project team  • Ensure safe, organized and efficient laboratory operations  • Assist in the training and support of apprentices, interns, students and researchers in analytical techniques Your profile • Diploma or professional qualification in chemistry with advanced professional examination for chemical laboratory technicians, or equivalent expertise  • Extensive practical experience in ICP-OES and ICP-MS, including sample preparation, method development, troubleshooting and data interpretation  • Basic to intermediate experience with GC-MS and LC-MS analytical techniques  • Good IT skills, particularly in analytical data processing and spectroscopy software  • Very good command of English, German is desirable We offer Our institution is based on interdisciplinary, innovative and dynamic collaboration.
