ICT System Specialist - Platform Engineer

This is the contribution you can make

• Development and operation of our highly available Kubernetes landscape, including monitoring. Develop and implement automation as well as Infrastructure-as-Code solutions (e.g., ArgoCD, OpenTofu, Puppet)
• Design platform architectures and security concepts in the Linux/container platform environment and implement engineering of cloud-native infrastructure services
• Advise other teams and support them with complex architecture, operation, and security questions
• Together with the team, take responsibility for the entire DevSecOps lifecycle of the container platforms and Linux systems
• Ensure 2nd and 3rd level support and the on-call service for the IT systems operated by the NDB

This makes you unique

• Education in computer science with a diploma such as Master, Bachelor, HF or equivalent degree and corresponding further training; ideally several years of practical technical experience
• Resilience and willingness to participate in the design, implementation, and operation
• Initiative, enjoyment of new technologies in the development and improvement of solutions in a dynamic team with a lot of creative freedom
• Swiss citizen with an irreproachable reputation
• Good knowledge of at least one second official language and good English skills

Together for the security of Switzerland!

The NDB deals with the early detection and combatting of terrorism, violent extremism, espionage, the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and their delivery technology as well as cyberattacks on critical infrastructures. In addition, the NDB procures and evaluates security-policy important information. In this way, it provides decisive contributions to the comprehensive assessment of the threat situation.

At the federal level, the NDB primarily serves the Federal Council, the departments, and the military leadership with its products. It also supports the cantons in maintaining internal security and the law enforcement agencies at the federal level.
