Head of Vegetable Processing Production

In this position, you report directly to the Head of Operations. After a careful introduction, you will manage the operational production processes via a second management level. You plan the deployment of around thirty permanent employees as well as thirty to forty temporary workers and ensure compliance with quality specifications, food safety and hygiene regulations. Your main tasks also include continuous process optimization using Lean Management as well as building sustainable relationships with the internal specialist departments that support you. In all your activities, you benefit from short decision-making paths.

Tasks

• Technical and personnel leadership across two management levels in production
• Production planning, capacity and resource control in shift operation
• Shopfloor management with continuous process optimizations
• Occupational safety and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Close cooperation with your supervisor, the Head of Operations
• Participation in investment decisions
• Budget responsibility for your production area

Profile

• Vocational training in the food industry with further higher education
• Leadership experience and the ability to communicate clearly, competently and consistently
• Proven track record as a production manager in the area of process improvements according to Lean Management
• Sound experience in the areas of food safety and quality management
• Joy and enthusiasm for food processing in a Swiss SME
• Good German and French skills
