ANDRE ROLAND SA is a Swiss intellectual property consulting firm founded in 1998 and specializing in patents, trademarks, and designs. Based in Lausanne, with a presence in Geneva, Paris, and London, our firm supports an international clientele in the protection, valuation, and defense of its intellectual property assets.
As part of the development of our activities, we are looking for a:
Generalist Patent Engineer, if possible physicist, microtechnician or equivalent
Authorized Representative before the European Patent Office
Your mission
You will join an experienced team of intellectual property consultants and will take charge of a portfolio of innovative clients active in various technical fields.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Drafting and filing applications and procedures before the EPO, WIPO, and national offices with the collaboration of correspondents; responding to examination notifications from offices; active participation in opposition and appeal proceedings before the instances; conducting patentability, freedom to operate, and validity studies; strategic advice regarding the protection of our clients' innovation; supporting Swiss and international clients with their intellectual property issues; participation in the commercial development of the firm and client loyalty.
Your profile
Engineering degree, Master's or Scientific or Technical Doctorate. Qualification as an Authorized Representative before the European Patent Office indispensable, other national qualification (Swiss Representative or CPI) desired. Proven experience in a firm or in industry. Generalist training allowing for the understanding of inventions in various technical fields. Excellent writing skills and mastery of professional French and English. German is of course an asset. Entrepreneurial spirit and client orientation. Autonomy, rigor, and sense of responsibility; preference with client portfolio.
