Business Unit Manager: Transport Infrastructure North-East Region

You will assume overall responsibility for a business unit with several dozen employees in the field of transport infrastructure and civil engineering. The focus is on the entrepreneurial and economic management of the unit, the further development of the business, as well as the leadership and empowerment of managers.

Your preferred place of work is Bern, in connection with the local site management. Alternatively, Zürich or Luzern are possible.

Your tasks

• Entrepreneurial management and strategic further development of the business unit
• Overall responsibility for economic performance, including budget, profitability and resource management
• Leadership and further development of department heads as well as promotion of a performance-oriented and appreciative leadership culture
• Further development of the organization, competencies and cross-divisional cooperation
• Active business development, acquisition and maintenance of important customer relationships
• High-level control of the project portfolio and support in demanding project situations
• Representation of the client in relevant specialist committees, networks and in the Swiss infrastructure market

Your profile

• Technical or engineering education with sound experience in the Swiss infrastructure and engineering market
• Proven leadership experience and a strong entrepreneurial mindset
• Strong network as well as experience in business development and acquisition
• Decisive, reliable personality with high social competence and assertiveness
• Good understanding of economic contexts and the requirements of public clients
