Derrickman / Drilling Rig Operator – Deep Geothermal Project M/F

We are looking for several experienced Derrickmen / Drilling Rig Operators to participate in a deep geothermal drilling campaign in Switzerland.

Operations will be carried out on a light drilling rig – Super Light Rig – equipped with an MPD (Managed Pressure Drilling) system.

The site will operate 24/7, with 12-hour shifts according to a 3x3 rotation.

Technical training and project familiarization of one to two weeks are planned in Switzerland in December 2026, before the operational start scheduled for January 2027.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Handling, positioning, and storing tubulars in accordance with operational procedures and safety requirements.
• Participating in tripping operations (running and pulling drill strings) under the supervision of the Driller or Assistant Driller.
• Using and monitoring drilling fluid systems and pumps during operations.
• Participating in operations carried out on Super Light Rig with MPD system.
• Preparing and mixing chemicals and additives required for drilling fluids.
• Controlling the volumes and properties of drilling fluids.
• Recording fluid-related data and quickly reporting any anomaly or operational difficulty.
• Ensuring compliance with project procedures and operator requirements.
• Maintaining a strong safety and HSE culture on site at all times.

We are looking for professionals with proven experience in onshore drilling operations.

Required experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in onshore Oil & Gas drilling operations or deep geothermal.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in continental Europe.
• Good knowledge of rig operations.
• Good mastery of drilling fluid systems.
• Good knowledge of safety procedures applicable to drilling operations.

Expected skills:

• Practical experience in handling tubulars and drilling equipment.
• Good understanding of tripping operations (running and pulling drill strings).
• Ability to work with pumping and drilling fluid systems.
• Ability to control and record fluid parameters.
• Strict adherence to operational and HSE procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within an international drilling team.
• Advanced professional English is essential.

Required / expected certifications:

• IWCF Level 2
• OPITO H2S
• MIST or BOSIET
• Valid OEUK medical certificate

Previous experience with an MPD – Managed Pressure Drilling system will be particularly appreciated.
